All About Pocket Knives

Some stockman in two-three-and four blades.The last picture is kind of unique in that the scales are clear horn and there are no bolsters.No mark that I can see.

During this rainy Sunday oiling sum knives I thought I'd. Show some stockman that have meaning to me .Tto Bottm a Primble I just acquired first one I own,then my first user fm Dad a Schrades Walden I used it for everything,my Grandpas Ulster I always like the jigged covers better than my OT and last a Craftsman copy of Grandpas Ulster.There not pristine but well loved and used

It is nice to come back to this thread and see so many great old stockman pictures!

Here is a Case Tested XX 6393 LP stockman which was discontinued after 1940.

Hak that schrade is really, really nice. Stocks are my favorite pattern so I have a few of them, not that many old ones but maybe I'll get there one of these days. 1st photo: schrade 881's (2nd photo: schrade open stocks and uncle henrys (3rd photo a camillus 66 and three 67's one customized by glennbadd (4th photo western boulder, wards and two robesons

Yes it does!

50 years ago the first 897uh was offered in the schrade catalog. Seems like they should be in the conversation about stockmen knives. Schrade sold a few of them. Even though they were mass produced I think they were a very good quality knife.

Those are impressive. I believe they pre-date Imperial Schrade's brief ownership of the company. Schrade/IXL amplified that pattern by putting bolsters on it, ebony handles, different etch, faux hallmarks, etc. and those are really impressive also. Here is one that Herman Williams did for me in red-dyed stag.
