A LIL UPDATE


1ST WEEK DONE DID
after both chemo and radiation monday ( double up day to be wednesday from now on)
it was rad every day ...... and poor Tiffer yackin' her guts out since tuesday A.M. till TODAY
we just got home from RAD.........she is nauseous but not dry heaving and puking
the sunburn from radiation is starting too.... (it pin points and you get sunburned in area they are working)
she looked REAL tan the other day.... like sunburn today and to get worse they say.
she don't wanna eat,or wont eat, or can't keep it down.......
she will loose her hair any day now they say........

HORRIBLE as it all is....she has a smile on her mug,and is askin for toast as i type SOOOOOOOOOOO....... a plus is a plus ya know

2 DAYS OFF .... AND BACK AT IT MONDAY

Josh,
It is turning out just like you posted earlier, a ton of side effects .
We will continue to pray for you to be strong for Miss Tiffany and that she will respond to the treatments and get through this very difficult time in both your lives.

Josh,get her to drink plenty of water. I believe it helps remove the residue of chemo and lessens the possibility of neuropathy.Ensure or some form of is also good. The Chemo makes it extremely hard to eat. If I hadn't had a feeding tube to use ensure,it would have been rough.

I am now cancer free for 6 years.The treatments are tough, I lost 50 lbs. in 3 months.Nutrition is very important.

2 WEEKS OF CHEMO AND RADIATION DOWN 3 TA GO

THIS WEEK SHE WASN'T AS PUKEY, DUE TO A NEW MED THEY ADDED , AND THEY ARE DOING A "HYDRATE AND EXTRA FLUSH" FOR 2 DAYS AFTER THE CHEMO IS INJECTED..........
SO NOW FOR 2 DAYS AFTER CHEMO --- AFTER RADIATION WE GO BACK TO CHEMO SIDE AND SHE GETS A
I.V. FOR ABOUT AN HOUR TO HELP FLUSH THE CHEMO OUT FASTER/BETTER TO REDUCE VOMITING

SUNBURNS ARE GETTIN WORSE ( SOME LADIES THERE HAVE BLISTERS )
HERS WENT FROM DARK DARK TAN,CUZ HER SKIN TYPE, TO NOW RED AN IRRITATED!!!

HIVES ON HER BACK - THEY ARE LOOKING INTO WHY - MEDICATION???
BENADRIL FOR NOW THEY SAY, TILL MONDAY DR. VISIT........

THEY KEEP HER KNOCKED OUT WITH MEDS MOST THE TIME...... SHE HAS ZERO PAIN WHEN ASLEEP
SHE DID EAT WAY BETTER THIS WEEK!!!! AND SHE IS ON PROTEIN SHAKES FOR HER BLOOD COUNT/ AMMUNE SYSTEM ..............

SHE CANNOT GET GERMS.. SO NO PUBLIC PLACES, AND MASK WHEN AROUND PEOPLE/FAMILY VISITS

ALL IN ALL ,WE ARE GLASS HALF FULL KINDA PEOPLE....SO WE ARE SHAKEIN OUR HEADS IN DISBELIEF BUT...WE HAVE A SMILE ON OUR FACES!!

I am still praying bro.

Thanks for the update Josh. Sounds like a rough road, we too are still praying y'all will whip this thing called cancer, with God's hand leading the medical folks the proper direction. Give Miss Tiffany our best wishes!

HEY FELLERS........
LIL UPDATE:


SO THE LAST CHEMO WAS WED THE 17TH.........
AND LAST RADIATION WAS MONDAY THE 22ND.....

BUT... WE LEARNED MONDAY SHE WILL NEED:
3 MORE "HIGH DOSAGE INTERNAL RADIATION" SESSIONS
AND IN MIDDLE OF THAT, 1 MORE CHEMO SESSION TOO........

THEY ARE GONNA GIVE HER 2 WEEKS OFF TO HEEL , AS SHE IS NOW BLISTERED AND OPEN CUTS FROM SKIN BURNS AND CHAFFING....... (this just started to be bad, which is good,as she can heel, most ppl they say, is happens to their skin WAY EARLIER, she was LUCKY they say )

she is at the cancer center now.....for hydration, as she woke up nauseous/dry heaving and had a instant painful migraine
she had been fine since sunday

Your description of Miss Tiffany's ordeal causes me to realize an ol' wore out shoulder achin' ain't nothing to complain about!
We will continue praying for both of you, for her comfort and healing and for you, that special ability to keep everything going the right direction while she goes through this mess.

Been a bad last few days........ picked her up @ 5pm from cancer center , the hydration & meds helped the
headache & nauseousness/ dry heaving.
while @ the center they ran a brain scan just in case...all was good

by 10 pm we were at the hospital E.R.
i told them how we already went through this earlier that day.......and the "center doc" said come here if it happened again.......
they hydrated her & meds.....she knocked out till they let her go home at 4am.

took here to cancer center to get hydration again today.......and on way to.....the water pump on the Aurora
start howlin' like i stepped on a dogs tail
all the way there...........dropped her,headed home ta see what goin on.
pulled belt,checkin pulleys ......run to PEPGIRLS in the lil beater Honda.... ...you guessed it ...... she barely starts to get home...........i mean barely!!!!!!
get it home, it is 105* here and too darn hot to be messin w/ this stuff..lol
pull the battery(small, lucky as i only have one good arm )......WALK to o'reily auto part (not that far...but still....did i tell you it was 105 lololol )
battery tested 50% ...wait 30 mins..........100% = WALK yer butt home >>>>>>>>>>>>>

get home ...slap her in........ turn key.... jaaa woooo.....jaaa whu,whu.....ja wa ja wa ja wuuuuuuu!!!!
CRAP!!!!

PULL STARTER............... WALK back to the parts store to test starter,
FAILS!!!
ok, so i say "gimma a new one there ,AMIGO"
"no problem" he say......"it will be here tomorrow by noon" ....ME= OK
WALK HOME.........................(did i mention it was 105* today???? )

by now it is 4pm
i need to pick TIFF up by 5pm
no one is in town,family wise........ and friends were my last minute MASTER PLAN,if they were even off work or avail

i sit down and PRAY..........
go back outside....... put belt on the Aurora........... PRAY, AND TURN THE KEY.
she fires up with ZERO NOISE
pick up tiff........ swing through the CARLS JR. drive thru as Tiff was starvin' (A GOOD THANG THESE DAYS)
get in drive way............howlin just started very FAINTLY


SO........ REMEMBER THIS FELLAS!!!!
1- OIL THEM JOINTS
2- HE WHO WALK BEHIND CAR....GET EXHAUSTED!
3- WALKIN IN 105* HEAT WHEN YER FAT,LAZY,AND CARRYIN' HEAVY CRAP WHEN YER HANDI-CAPPED SUCKS .......BIG TIME! LOLOLOLOLOL
AND!!!!

Josh, you aren't penciled in my prayer list with the AAPK section. You are inked in in my family section for long term (as long as I've got to hang around here). For all you guys are going through, you have a great attitude. Take care. ___Dave

Josh, we all have days like that and lots of times we don't end the our tale of woe like you did .
Knowing that God is Good is one thing but still being able to thank and praise Him after such a day, is very refreshing to read. Get your bible and read what the Lord tells us about problems, worry, etc. in Matthew 6:25-34.
