A couple of days ago, this gentlemans' or lobster, pattern or style of pocket knife, arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. It now becomes my FIRST example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT purchase the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, it did get added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is an UNBRANDED, one blade, one tool (a file), 2 7/8" closed, gentlemans' or lobster, pattern or style of pocket knife. I can NOT find any stamp(s) or marking(s) anywhere on this pocket knife. This appears to be a VERY well made pocket knife. For its size, it DOES have a little weight. The blade does have a WEAK half stop. The blade does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The blade does have a VERY GOOD closing snap. The tool does have a WEAK half stop. The tool does have a GOOD opening snap. The tool does have a VERY GOOD closing snap. Despite having a couple of VERY minor cosmetic issues, overall, this pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. This pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning at all.
I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

Nice tortoise shell too. I rarely put a knife on a buffer but I'd have to polish that shell. It would be stunning. O'.

It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, it definitely turned out to be a keeper and it made a VERY nice addition to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is an UNBRANDED, two blades, 1/2" X 2 1/4" closed (not including the bail), Mother Of Pearl handles or scales, fob or key ring, lobster, pattern or style of pocket knife. I could NOT find any stamp(s) or marking(s) of any kind, anywhere on this pocket knife. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures (I couldn't quite capture the colors) and here it is.

Skip, for what it's worth, toothpaste and paper towel is a good polish for shell and red jeweler's rouge leaves a great shine. It will over heat so take care. O'.

The main blade front tang stamp says, "VOOS (over) STAINLESS" The tool front stamp says "STAINLESS" The bail stamp says, "1/20 = 12K GF" Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

Picked this up at Lexington. The dealer had eight or ten pearl handled gunstock whittlers like this, so I stopped to see if, by chance, one might be a Terrier.

No such luck.

But, he had this Moore-Handley Hardware.

Moore-Handley was one of three wholesale hardware firms located in Birmingham, along with Wimberly-Thomas and Long-Lewis.

All three sold pocketknives. I’ve seen Moore-Handley and Wimberly-Thomas marked knives. Not sure Long-Lewis ever sold their own brand.

Blades are full, but pitted.

Faint “AMERICA’S BEST” remains.

Good snap all around.

All but the nail file are stamped.

The main blade front tang stamp says, "Ambassador (over) USA" The secondary blade front tang stamp says, "Ambassador (over) USA" The "USA" is obscured or partially obscured on both of the blades. The main blade does have a GOOD half stop. The main blade does have a GOOD opening snap. The main blade does have a GOOD closing snap. The secondary blade does have a GOOD half stop. The secondary blade does have a GOOD opening snap. The secondary blade does have a GOOD closing snap. This pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT require cleaning.

It did get added to my general, gentlemans’ or lobster, pattern or style of pocket knife, accumulation. It is a HILL NOVELTIES, one blade (chipped), three tools (a file, scissors (broken), and a screwdriver), two tang stamps, 5/8” X 2 3/4" closed, gentlemens' or lobster, pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, “HILL NOVELTIES (over) MFG. CORP. (over) GERMANY” The main blade back tang stamp says, "ORIGINAL (over) TIDAX" The main blade does have a WEAK half stop. The main blade does have an OK opening snap. The main blade does NOT have a closing snap. This pocket knife (chipped blade and broken scissors) is still in FAIR condition. This pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

The main blade front tang stamp says, “UNIMART (over) GERMANY” The main blade back tang stamp says, "STAINLESS (over) INOX" The secondary blade (stub), front tang stamp says, "STAINLESS (over) INOX" The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does have a GOOD opening snap. The main blade does have a GOOD closing snap. The secondary blade (stub) does NOT have a half stop. The secondary blade (stub) does NOT have an opening snap. The secondary blade (stub) does have a GOOD closing snap. The corroded scissors open, close, and cut, with no issues. Overall, this pocket knife is in POOR condition. This pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.
