I almost bought a second one and missed out because I was jackin' my jaws on the phone and forgot. I now have a snipe program so I don't have to remember.

I was going to have this modification done to it.

Got this 1973 6231 1/2 from a fellow member this week and very pleased with it. Don't think its been sharpened. Really grown to like these big jacks. Got another in earlier but haven't gotten pictures to pictures yet. The knife feels good in the hand.

Thanks Jerry, coming from you that means a lot. Your pictures on this thread were inspirational. I found a delrin handled 31 at a gunshow a while back and liked it very much and started looking into them.

And so it starts.

Got around to taking a couple of pictures of this 62031 1/2 I received from Steve P's AAPK store. Very pleased with it, thanks Steve. I believe the 0 in the pattern stamp indicates that this is a bareheaded jack as the blades are typical of those found in a 31 frame. From the Case XX era. There are some hints of red in the bone but don't know if this is Case red bone. It doesn't help that I have some color acuity issues anyway.

I have this 4 1/2" Utica to ad to this thread . Definitely a hand full with alligator snap .
Is the 32 stamped on the base of the tang possible the year made ?

They didn't date knives when that Utica was made,although twenties thru thirties would be the era.Those jumbo trappers are a handful of knife.

Picked this one up from Cato a while back.its getting a lot of pocket time.

Just picked this up at a local gun show in Easton, PA this AM. A large Robeson Shuredge cigar, 62257 is the pattern number stamped on the spear blade. A big knife at 4.25 inches closed. Aside from the blade loss and heavy handed buffing, it is tight with good walk and talk, handles without cracks and tight. Fit and finish still show on this one. I am guessing built between the wars but don't really know. Thanks for looking.

That case 94 and that big Robeson cigar are super guys. I've been after one of those 94's. Just hasn't happened yet.
