Urgent Request

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Urgent Request

Post by dlr110 »

Just got word that my mother has been taken to the hospital. My sister is her primary caregiver and her and her husband have had the COVID and now mom got it. Mom is 88 years old, she has had a stroke among other illnesses. My sister said in a text that she was calling for an ambulance and that mom's blood pressure was going down rapidly. Your prayer would be much appreciated.

David, I’m so sorry to learn of this. My prayers for your mother and family, and for the caregivers. May the Lord heal and comfort her.

Father, we lift up David's mother to you. You know the number of hairs on her head and you know exactly what is wrong in her body. We ask Lord that you would give her peace and reassurance that you have her best interests in your heart.
Jeremiah 29: 11-13

We also ask peace and confidence for David and all their family members.
We pray that you would be glorified in this situation and that you would be glorified.in David and his family.

I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus.
Amen

UPDATE: The doctors got mom stabilized and then ran every test in the hospital they had and still came up with no answer as to what happened. They allowed my sister to take her home, but earlier this morning she was sitting on the side of her bed and didn't know where she was, but she said there were people in the room with her. She needs 24X7 care and she has a long-term health care policy she has paid very good money for, but my sister won't activate it for some reason. I don't know what will happen from this point, but if it should cross you mind from time to time say a prayer for my mom or better yet all of our parents that are still with us. Thanks to all the AAPK "prayer warriors."

David, Praying for your mom.
The LTC policy probably has an elimination period. That usually runs about 90 days, which is how long Medicare will cover a nursing home stay, if she was admitted to the hospital for 48 hours first. That’s probably what your sister is considering before she uses the policy. But she should let the LTC insurance company know so they can get a care coordinator working on the care she gets. That can take a lot of pressure off of her shoulders.

Heavenly father, please be close to David and especially his Mother. Please hold this entire family close to you and give them the comfort they need at this time. The illnesses we have are sometimes a mystery to us, but Father you know exactly what they are. We ask that you please give the physicians the insight they need to be able to help David's Mom. And Father, please show the family as they gather around David's Mom the things that need to be done in order to make her comfortable and assure she gets the best care.

Thank you Father for hearing our prayers. We trust your perfect wisdom.

In the name of our Holy Savior Jesus Christ we pray.
