Toledo Knife
Toledo Knife
I found this Toledo knife and I would like to know out of curiosity, what is its value and if it is an immitation and I am trying to decipher what is written on the dagger and the handle of the knife. Thank you for your comments!

Re: Toledo Knife
Maybe a Muela? Hope that gets some dialect going, to AAPK!
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Re: Toledo Knife
Looks to me like a "Lord of the Rings" half-sword, the "Sword of Thandril", I think.

I think you're on to something, Mark. Were they made by Cold Steel or something like that?

Re: Toledo Knife
If I'm not mistaken John, items like that one have been made by United Cutlery, who make some cool pieces, but not of the highest quality. Not bad stuff by any means, but not up there with the giants of the knife making world. They've built some knives from Gil Hibben and Sly Stalone designs, and they've come out pretty nice. Just my thoughts!1967redrider wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:41 pm

Re: Toledo Knife
After thinking about this for a bit John, I think I should have said, "from the Hobbit series", not the "L.O.T.R." series. Similar themes, but actually different altogether. Sorry!

That is definitely Tolkien's Tengwar Elvish runes.

Hey, don't feel bad bud me too, except I've never read or seen the Tolkien books or movies, so you're doin' good!
