KA-BAR 6356

Post by espn77 »

Picked up this box because I thought it was cool. Can anyone tell me what a 6356 is?
Thanks Keith

All I found in Houston Price's book is: 6=bone stag, 3=number of blades, 56=pattern number. He says 3-1/4", no picture or pattern description.
Maybe a 'cattle"??? Good luck.

That box is in great shape and lots of character in the printing. Perfect display. ::nod::

Thats disappointing. I thought maybe it was older. Better stick to what I know.

Keith, they used the same box pattern post war, but the earlier ones say KA-BAR over Union Cutlery Company, they changer their name to KA-BAR Incorporated in 1952.

6356 is a 3 1/4" stockman pattern.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

The Official Guide to Collectors Knives Eighth Edition by James Parker is a good source. C. 1985
