Santa Claus

Post by carvin don »

Here's a Santa I carved recently, I plan to give it to my Mom for Christmas.

Been slow at carving lately, I need to pick up the pace a little...

Hey Don,
Santa looks very good, Great job as usual. I have not done any whittling or carving lately. Been having some health problems, blood pressure too high caused by back pain. Maybe after the holidays. Your mom will be happily surprised.

Fantastic Don ! Your Mom will love it.

I lost my Mom four years ago at the age of 84. I recently found stuff in her closet that I had made when I was in 4th or 5th grade.

Your knifer with the cut thumb has been my favorite, but this one is right up there tied for first place.

He has a lot of character and is no doubt a bit mischievous!

Way Cool!

Thanks Fran and Dale, I am glad folks don't mind takin' a look at these characters. :)

Fran, I am sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I know my mom has an attic full of knick-knacks and school projects my brother and I created when we were young. Mom's are like that, they save and treasure more than we know.

Thanks TM,
Great to hear you have been makin' chips! I have been as slow as molasses these days...Please post some pics when you get the chance. ::tu::
