I finally got a chance to work on a knife

Post by Meridian_Mike »

I finally got a chance to get out in my shop for a little while when I was off for the Christmas vacation.
One I have been wanting to fix for a while is my last 2OT.
I had 3 or 4 at one time that needed work. This one was the last.....
.
This guy had a busted cover on one side.
The bolsters were really nice and sharp!
Here is the before...

.
The cover on the pile side was good.....
The main blade has some sharpening wear and the pen blade had a tiny nick at the tip.
Not a big problem at all.

.
Time for disassembly....

It was pretty nasty so I gave it a good clean-up.
Here is the mark side with the new cover.
I can't remember the bone color... seems like it is amber.

And here is the pile side cleaned up.

Now, this one is in my Old Timer collection..... right beside the other 2OTs.
Thanks for looking everyone!

Thanks!

Dale, I hope to be doing a little more since it is COLD outside. That is when I get more time in my shop.
I hope to do a few more soon. I will definitely shoe them here when I get 'em done.
(Thanks again for the COVID exchange package you sent me. There was a LOT of nice goodies in it!!!!)

Great work Mike, and a worthy save for sure!
