A few of my Camillus Bone Knives

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Post by woodwalker »

Didnt Camillus make some pretty bone handled knives back in the day! Being primarily a Case guy I neglected Camillus for a while. I shouldn't have! :)

Very nice. I need to dig all mine out for a pic. But as it would happen, I was just about to post this in the “what are you carrying today” thread. Here’s a Camillus 69 that’s in my pocket as we speak.

After looking at yours, I dug mine out. I agree the old Camillus Rogers bone knives were some of the best, and yours look better than mine. Here’s a few more to add to the thread.

Thanks Floyd. I like them too. I never knew anything about Camillus or Rogers bone either until I joined AAPK. Now I can't hardly pass one up. It's a sickness I tell ya, and I blame JerryD! lol

Thank ya sir! Camillus did these well. Everyone I've ever had, including the later delrin handled ones were very well made and smooth. They're as addicting as the 72 I believe.

Wade that was a stamp that was only used a short time when they started up after the war. Very few around. The model 17 is also a one year catalogued knife and it too is a no line. I should have noted that. I was unaware of them but got the information from Vit and Jerry. Thanks. ::handshake::
