I havent found a tang stamp on this one, out side of the long list of numbers 2284833/2689400/2479855 and U.S.A. So I assume it was made in the United States but do these numbers mean anything?
Trying to do research but hitting a wall, will let you know if I find anything out.
Does anyone know what these numbers mean?

From my cellphone, it looks like an Imperial with Patent numbers, hope this helps.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Re: Does anyone know what these numbers mean?
i had tried googling the numbers as one long number and was getting no where, but as I was typing the post I thought maybe they were three seperate patent numbers. When searching the first patent number I got this in my search results. So I am guessing the same thing you said. Thank you so much for your help.

Another question on this... why would a company not stamp there brand on the knives. Like with this one if it is an Imperial why did the company not but imperial on the knife and just use the patent numbers?
Also why are there three patent numbers?

Thanks, Scoutknives, I saved a copy.
I think I have at least 1 small Imperial at home that just has Patent numbers.

Re: Does anyone know what these numbers mean?
Because the patient numbers aren’t for the knife as a whole but for different aspects of the knife , as an example crimped on bolsters , shell handles etc .
