Boker 240 info needed
I just bought a boker tree brand 240 in a pawn shop. I have no idea what it is worth and I don’t know anything about Boker knives. The tang is marked Boker Solingen Germany with the tree logo and the blade is etched Tree Brand with 240 near the tang. I’m looking for an approximate date and value. I’m not going to sell just interested. Thanks. Jason.

Here's one that recently sold, for about $30. Sorry, no help on dating.

Thanks. That one was nice. My handles are different but they appear to be the same as far as stamps etc.

Looks like jigged bone scales. No two will look alike. Also I think it's a late 1980s or early 1990s. Dating Boker knives is always a challenge. You can't really rely on shield dating or tang stamps because I've found that Boker sometimes uses older shields and stamps with newer knives. The info found online on this is relative. Old catalogs are a lot more reliable. I concluded to these years because of the "Tree Brand" etch. When Boker was manufacturing knives in the USA (up until 1984) they owned the "Tree Brand" label. After 1985 it went back to Boker in Germany and you started seeing it appear on the Solingen made knives.
