Re: Mail Call, Post Your New GECs.
So far this is my entire GEC collection, but I am sure that there will be more of them .
By the way, if someone can help me with the acquisition of 2013 and 2014 club knives, then I will be happy to hear your offer.

Can't say I'm a big fan, of the Congress pattern. I am a fan of a wharncliff blade. The gold is a little anemic, in the Goldenrod...but; tis the nature of camel, to be fickle, in color saturation. Still not sure how I ended up with two of these.

Hey vit, thanks for posting these pictures. You have a good start towards a fine GEC collection. There have been many great old patterns made in the last 14 years so there are a lot of very fine GEC knives 'out there' and at times they come up for sale at reasonable prices.
Be sure to post the new ones as they arrive.

The bottom knife handles are Casein - it was a run they did back in their early years. It was an early "plastic" that is actually from a protein in milk! I had to look it up but it was awesome enough old school that made it worth it.

Knife looks great with casein handles. Looks much like elephant ivory.

Mr. Frank posted the last one "ripe banana camel bone" GEC#62 Easy Pocket Congress. I went straight to my Yahoo email and I got my "discount coupon code". I bought this knife for $94.50 shipped. It just came in the mail today and this knife is wonderful. "PICKLE & PEANUT APPROVED !"
Re: Mail Call, Post Your New GECs.
Picked up a few over the past 2 weeks.

Got this 62 Maverick in Snakewood from kj. Gorgeous knife all around. This blade configuration is absolutely the best, in my opinion, that GEC ever did. The nicely rounded bolsters and smooth edges just make this a very pleasing knife to hold in your hand. And the Snakewood is very nice on this one.

Very nice SSK. And very generous of KJ to part with it.
I realize I am in the minority here, but the stockman has never inspired me much for some reason. I’m a trapper guy through and through. However, I do find that my eyes always linger over these Mavericks. Something about the Congress frame and that especially elegant clip really does appeal to me.
Thanks for posting. I would love to see more of these if members have them.

Since you asked, I just sold this one, it’s a Kingwood Maverick. I turned it loose knowing this Snakewood was going to replace it. I just like wooden handles over just about any other handle material and on this pattern it just feels great in hand.HighPlains wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 7:46 pm Very nice SSK. Here is another one that I had but traded to Willy Camaro. Autumn clawed bone handles.

Love this one. Jigged bone and corset shield. If it had a long pull it would be perfect to me. Thanks for posting. Gorgeous knife.

Nice #12 ! I have one with jade green camel bone handles, also very attractive. For some unknown reason this has not been a popular pattern even though it is an easy one to pocket & carry.
Anyone know why the GEC #12 is not a popular pattern ?
