Remington RH-32 for saleSOLD
SOLDRemington RH 32. About 8 1/2 inches overall with a blade about 4 1/2 inches. Upswept skinner pattern. Tang-stamped Remington on “left” side, and Remington UMC in a circle and MADE IN USA around the periphery of that circle, and RH to the left of the circle and 32 to the right of said circle. This knife is in excellent condition. D.Y. Grimm’s book on Remington sheath knives, page 16, places this knife as 1925 to 1932, but says the thin metal spacers in handle are brass for this version. However, this specimen has nickel silver spacers, as supposedly the later DuPont version has. Said nickel silver thin spacers alternate with black and red wider spacers. The decorative spacers are arranged at both ends of the stacked leather handle, which is in excellent condition. The handle terminates in a polished aluminum oval pommel, of course, with the split brass nut. This knife has almost certainly been cleaned, but little apparently needed to be done, as, except for the shine, no apparent loss has occurred. There is a section of pitting on the right side of the blade, not far from the tip. The sheath is a left-hand DuPont sheath, and is in only fair condition. $85 shipped to U.S. addresses. Any reasonable payment method is fine.
