Thought I might as well post some pictures of my e-toe, fresh from the shop. I'm more than pleased with its new look.
That is stunning!kootenay joe wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 6:42 pm Here is a very fine vintage Camillus Sailor's knife, 4 3/4" closed not including bail. Note the 3 line stamping. This is older than the 4 line stamping. Knife dates to WW I or a little before. Beautiful strong knife, over 100 years old. Quite remarkable i think.

Today I acquired this Camillus 18. It is in very good condition and requires no extra care.

902 "Mini Double Lockback Promaster". Dunno why these are so elusive. It was made from the late '80s all the way up to close. I found mine here by the way.
I find it to be a great EDC. Doesn't weigh a whole lot, small (3 1/8") and the locks, being offset (the furthest back is for the serrated, the one towards the front for plain edge), are easy to release. I have also figured out how to one-hand open the clip blade with my right hand. Not to mention due to the serrated blade, it cuts above its small size.

Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!
Hopefully, these two will be arriving soon. They look like they're in pretty decent shape. I'll check each one out, do any necessary cleaning, take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

Looks like bone on the two of them. Is the lower one a 33?

Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!
Thank you Floyd. The top one is a "16." I'm pretty sure a "33" has a semi-circle cut out in the handle. The bottom one has no cut out, so I'm not really sure what it is.

Not likely. A #33 is an EZ-Open. That one looks pre-WWII to me but I could be wrong.

carmillus would you please post a picture of your knife that is similar to my "Sailor's jack ".carrmillus wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 8:34 pm ......that's a winner!!!,yours is in much better condition than the one I have!!!!................ ................
I have been in touch with Frank T. and he found a card from 1915 showing my knife as "S131" which is also written on back of master blade. Frank says he has never seen another and thinks only a few were made to show prospective buyers like the Canadian Navy. "few" = 10 or less.
It would be helpful & interesting to see another example.

Last year I picked up this #884 Stockman knife. I know that this was done around 1991, but I don't know what the inscription "USWA Local 37" means .

Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!
It's like a branch number. Like the Boy Scouts have troop numbers, labor/trade unions have "branch" or "group" numbers, they call their branches/groups, "locals."
"A local union is a locally-based group of workers with a charter from a national or international union such as the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) or United Auto Workers (UAW). A local may include workers from the same company or region."
