Case LSSP Lockback Knife- Does it come in CV steel?
I'm looking at Case's LSSP lockback, and they're all designated stainless or unmarked. Do they come with a CV blade or not?

To my knowledge, no.
But, there are a few routes if you want a carbon steel lockback. Closest I'm very familiar with is earlier examples of the Schrade 5OT.
Moore Maker seems to exclusively use carbon steel, no matter what the model is. And there are a lot of lockbacks. There are 3 5/8 and 3 3/4" models, close to the 51LSSP's 4"

By definition, no.
L = Lockback, SSP = Stainless Steel, Polished.
Case does make several lockback patterns with carbon steel (CV) blades. If I was you I’d call Shepherd Hills Cutlery 1-800-727-4643 and tell them what you want. They’ll advise you what options are available and how much they cost. Nice folks, free call.
Also, have a look at what’s available here in the AAPK stores.
And welcome to AAPK.

Five additional recently made CV lockbacks quickly came to mind, Cheetahs, Mid-Folding Hunters, TrapperLocks, and the Kick-Start versions of the later two. In the past there were CV lockback single blade Folding Hunters and other models that get auctioned on eBay.
We could offer the original poster more help if he or she wrote what size and shape of knife they want, whether they are willing to buy a pre-owned knife, and whether they will consider other brands.
For clarity, SSP means stainless steel blades and back springs with the blade edges polished. The P is equivalent to the old "razor edge" etch. Since the early 1980s most stainless Case pocket knives have had bright polished blades that were not sharpened so keenly so they did not deserve the P. Through the 1970s most stainless blades were only sanded to a satin finish. Despite not having bright polished blades many of those were stamped SSP because their edges were polished.Mumbleypeg wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2019 10:05 pm By definition, no.

The Tribal lock is also available in CV blades but only in a limited number of handle material.
