GEC STR-EK Electrician's Knife

Post by jerryd6818 »

I stumbled on to this today. I didn't know GEC had made an Electricians Knife until I followed a link that ended with this at the bottom. It was made in November of 2013 as a S.F.O. I wish they would bring it back and make it again. I'd like to get my hands on one but finding one seems problematic because I'm willing to bet they are scarcer than hen's teeth and if one were found, it would cost you (me) an arm, a leg and my first born child. BTW, the teeth ground into the screwdriver blade are for cutting wallboard. Clever, eh?

I've got the cocobolo with the spear and saw blade. As I recall they only made 26 pieces . The rest of the configurations are probably similar in pieces made. I have not seen one for sale in years. Mine is not for sale unfortunately! Check AAPK stores everyday and EBAY everyday. You might get lucky. Good luck!

I used to have one but I sold it. It was bar none the best electrician I've ever had, the lock had a tab that went over the blade tang and made it lock totally solid.

Well, I wish I had been paying attention back in November of 2013 and bought one. ::tired:: That's one slick motor scooter.

Jerry here is an old card of his, not sure if the contact info is still correct. Might be worth contacting him to see if he has one available. I know they go quick when they come up for sale.

Thank you for your effort but it would be a waste of my time and his because I couldn't afford it even if he did have one. One can dream.
