Let's see some Shrade - Walden Old Timers!!

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Let's see some Shrade - Walden Old Timers!!

Post by Meridian_Mike »

I have lately been trying to find a few of the earliest Old Timers that have the "SCHRADE-WALDEN" tang stamps.
I THINK this tang stamp was only on the earliest Old Timers up to 1973... (correct?)....
I'm sure you guys have some MINT versions of these knives... I am looking for those that need some clean-up since that is what I like to do.
I have found these so far.....

The 8 OT...
Match strike pull....
and I LOVE the blade grind on the top edge of the main blade...
Walden 8 OT.jpg
The 108 OT...
Long pull.....
Same cool grind on top of the main blade.....

My 25 OT....
Full blades but needs a good clean-up...
Walden 25 OT.jpg
And my 125 OT that is "on the way"....
It looks a little sad but I have a shield and I think I can make it presentable....

NOW....Let's see some of your Early Old Timers!

Y'all can go ahead and shame my knives if you want to...LOL....
I'm gonna give 'em some love.

:D

This 41OT for Craftsman is a Walden. It does not belong to me but the photograph is great.
