The scales kinda change background color??

I noticed the scales on this Henry Sears knife change like a fading of different colors....

Is that something normal/unique?

That is called "waterfall" celluloid and it does have a pretty cool visual effect.

Just be mindful that Waterfall Cell is like a grenade with the pin pulled, as far as outgassing goes. So keep that guy isolated, don't want it to rust your other knives that are close by. ::tu::
