Is it already that time of year.

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Is it already that time of year.

Post by bighomer »

Sweetie pie and I went to Wallyworld and Kroger's for a few items today, and decided we'd eat a bite at Crack Barrel's old country store. The first thing I see when I walk in the door is Christmas stuff. Gees it ain't even labor day yet.

I was in the LaVale, MD, Cracker Barrel on Saturday and they had their Christmas tree in the window but not other Christmas items yet. But they could very well have put more things up by now though. ::facepalm::

Dollar General put out the Halloween candy early in August, and is already switching over from pool stuff, to the aisle where they typically sell additional toys for Christmas.

In my opinion, it's nuts when any store starts putting anything out before October. That's when most stores do it.

The only stores I can see putting out fall stuff in May and Christmas stuff in August are crafts stores, such as Michael's and AC Moore.
Folks who do crafts do need the time to create their wares.
Any other store putting out items that early ::cuss:: ::sot:: ::sot::

The DollarTree here has had some Christmas stuff for several days. There’s Halloween creeping in there and at Dollarama. Summer still technically has a month to go.
I’m starting to wonder why they even bother to put stuff away. Eventually, it’ll be all seasons, all the time.
