Remington knives with an etch

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Hey Kieth that R3445 appears to be sheephorn? I have seen another Remington like that with the 5 instead of the 0 for the handle code and it was minty with beautiful etch.

old knife I have had for years. Decent old knife was thinking about light cleaning, don't want to lose any of the etch. What do you think.

I can still to this day remember the first R4243 I held. They are so much more of a knife than a person thinks. Great knives guys. ::tu::

I posted this same knife on page one but it has the Remington trademark etch. This has the Remington master knife etch.

Guess I'll post this one here, for posterity. To see a gorgeous one...go back to page 1 of this thread and scroll down to one of ESPN77's pictures.
I just picked this R933 up. The etch is faint; but, discernible. Sadly it's missing the entire back handle. The bone is so nice on these old ones. Guess I'll rehandle it one day...when I overcome the sadness of removing this front scale.

Great looking knife doc, sure looks good from this side. Those are hard to find with an etch and yours looks great. ::tu::

Probably posted this before? R9023 stainless. It is odd in that it has aluminum liners with aluminum tip bolsters.

R7825. No pattern stamp, I think it might be the moorman feed knife? Faint etch.
