Need some help fellers

Post by woodwalker »

I bought 2 knives from an antique store today. There are no tang stamps that I can read. Would like to know about the knives. One is a Stockman that may be a Case? The other one is a dogleg jack? Both have old worn bone. Any info my knife brethren would be appreciated. Thanks all!! :)

The stockman looks like a Case knife to me. That Jack is cobbled together and had a bad repair job on it, not sure what it is, makes me think someone may have used just any blades they could find.

A proud blade pin does not necessarily denote a knife has had its blade or blades replaced.

The knife might very well be English and early.

The stockman looks like a Case, what's the closed length? Could be a 6375 with well used blades? ::hmm::
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Thanks Redrider
I sent pics to my friend and fellow AAPKer Ed Landers and he said it was an old worn Case 6392 Greenbone. I like greenbone Case knives so I am super happy to have it. :) ::handshake::
