Wanted to Whittle

Post by Jdub »

Went on a 10 day camping trip last week, I’m always whittling on something as we sat around. I had made my son a small sword, when the 4 year old comes up and ask if she can try. I politely told her not right now, well as you can see her persistence paid off. She tried her hand at it. One or two swipes and she was done. Made her stand still and pose with knife and sword in hand.

She is just a little sweetheart. I don't know how you could possibly tell her no.

She's a cutie...although you may have some explaining to do, next time she's trying out her knife skills, in the kitchen, with Mama. :)

She is a cutie! Enjoy these days as they grow up fast. My daughters are in their late thirties and now I just spoil my grandbabies! Enjoy every moment! :)

Good for her and good for you!
If you teach her all about knives now, she will grow up with skills, knowledge and respect for them.
I always had a knife. One of the first things I remember is hacking down a sapling while my parents worked on clearing a lot we had. Girls absolutely should learn how to use a pocketknife.
By the way, if you should find yourself up here in fifteen or twenty years, have I got a boy for her! :wink: She’s a sweetie!
I’m too young to be this old!

She's beautiful!! ::super_happy::
Makes me anxious to start looking for a knife for my granddaughter's 4th birthday. She turned three last month, so I have some time. ::hmm::
Take care and God bless,

A real charmer. I suspect she will have little difficulty getting the men in her life to accede to her wishes.

So....I'm curious. It looks like she has a XX 75 in her hand?
If it isnt I'm sure its something that most "men" more less a little girl, would whittle with.
Good job Justin ::tu::
