What is Your Latest Old Camillus? (pre-1960)

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

I got this one and sent it right back off for some new handles. It will look much better when it returns. I really like these 70's, I try to snag any that are in good shape. I have three now. They don't usually go for much unless they are bone.

This, like the other I had rehandled in ebony, looks unused and has factory edges.

Greg, very nice TL-29 with bone handles! I have been on the look out for one. Certainly much more scarce than the wood handled models in my observation.

Nice EE Cattle Knife Paul and who ever did the rehandle did a fabulous job ::tu:: Looks like it just came off the production floor!

WWI 4 1/4" Cattle Pattern, 4 line Camillus, U.S. SIGNAL CORPS Some black specks, never was etched... but retained a lot of the original finish. Stout knife,, I think if you closed that main clip on your little pinky it would amputate that rascal. Thanks for looking ,,,,

Thanks Tommy! I think that old Roger's bone on any knife is getting pretty scarce. You've got to snag those any time you find a good one.
Since we've got this thread fired up I should go ahead and post the pearl whittler I just recently won on Ebay and get some opinions on the stamp that is on the small clip. It doesn't have the line-dot-line under the curved Camillus. I think this stamp is described in Goins but I'm not sure.

Added a few more to the Camillus folder, a three line Congress, steel bolsters and brass liners, tight and snappy, 4 1/8".

Sword Brand swing guard, nickel bolsters and steel liners. Really like the grind on this blade and the handles are nice... :D
