It may be common knowledge but I don't know what the "TIW" on some GEC knives stands for. Would one of you please tell me?

Thanks FarSide, HighPlains & edge213. It's two to one so I'll think Titusville Iron Works.

I believe so Roland . According to my friend Google, Dagwood and family lived in The suburbs of Joplin , Mo. and Titus Canby was a vile criminal in the children's television show called Where in the World is Carmen San Diego. :D

Thanks Greg. I don't know how Titus Canby got into my memory as i do not know of that T.V. show. I have never really watched T.V. except a little during high school in early 1960's.
