New to the forum
Hello all,
I’m new to this forum, and I just wanted to say “hi”, and let you know what I’m up to.
At the age of 62 I have acquired my first Buck knife. Finally! My father gave it to me. It’s a 110
and I believe it is from 72 to 74. It’s been in his toolbox, in it’s sheath, for a number of years. Needless
to say, it is in “rough” condition. I have taken pictures and am preparing to embark on the process to
bring it back to what it once was. If anyone is interested I will keep you all posted on my progress.

Welcome to the Buck Forum and AAPK! Before you do to much, be aware that Buck Knives in Idaho offers the Buck Spa for Buck Knives - $7.00 plus shipping one way and they will clean and sharpen that Buck for you - put it as close to original as possible with what they have to work with. Many of us have used them - terrific service. OH

Welcome to the forum, have not been here long myself, these members here are great and in the know.

Howdy, and welcome.
As OH said Buck will do it good. IMO, there's something to be said by doing it yourself. If you do definitely get some pics.

Thanks for the warm welcome, all. I appreciate it. I know about the spa service, but I think I want to try it myself. If I start to get in over my head, then I’ll have that as a fall back. I have no clue how to post pictures.

Be adventuresome. Get out and explore. You can't break the forum and the forum can't break the device on which you visit AAPK. The "Tips & Tricks" forum has a bunch of how to threads and if you don't find what you're looking for there, ask, someone will write up a procedure/tutorial. There is also a wealth of information in the "blue" line header for each and every pageTcdaddy wrote: I have no clue how to post pictures.

Before:
I’ll post “after “ pictures this evening.Re: New to the forum
Agreed. So after 2-3hrs with Simicrome polish and a half a roll of “tissue”, I think it looks pretty good. Difficult to get a good picture, because of the glare! . Anyway, here are three that came out okay. I didn’t spend a lot of time on the blade, I think I’ll leave that to the experts at Buck.

Re: New to the forum
It sure cleaned up well, nice job. If I was going to make it a user I’d leave it as is, if a collection piece send it to Buck. OH
