Hello guys this is my first post and first day on aapk. I was going to ask if someone can tell me what kind of steel they use in the kabar 1005 pocket knife? Was wondering if they are mostly carbon? Thank you guys

Re: Kabar question
Welcome to AAPK Tuckersdad. Looking at several pictures on E-bay of the Kabar 1005 knife I’m pretty sure the blade material will be high carbon steel. I prefer carbon steel blades when it comes to sharpening. They can get a razor edge with little effort. Steve B.

Welcome to AAPK. Glad to have you aboard. I don't know diddley about blade steels but there are plenty here that do.
