Thanks first.....help if you can.

Post by Grasshopper »

I'd like to offer a big backslap to whoever put up all this info on this site. Short story, went to a yard sale and paid a very moderate price for these 2 Case knives because I needed a new EDC and the new one was obviously new and cheap in my opinion. Started wondering what all the number's and dot's were so ended up here and found it a very informative site. The smaller is a Case 63032 Stockman made in 1979 ( 1 Dot), used but gently so. The second is a mint Case 5347 HP SS Engraved Blue Scroll Stockman (3 Dot) Part of the 1977 Engraved Blue Scroll Set. Neither has a box. If I am wrong or am missing any info I would appreciate anything anyone can tell me. Assuming its all correct, I am wondering what the value of these are. Especially the 5347hp SS. I'll be honest, I paid $55.00 USD for the pair.

You stumbled upon a great deal. A 47 similar to yours brought about $85 counting shipping recently on ebay. That is a ballpark estimate. You can find these values yourself by searching the completed items.

Actually the second one is a 1989. The lightning S in Case Indicates the 80's decade. You did well on the price. The blue scroll 5347 routinely sells for $85 to $100 on ebay. ::tu::

Took me a bit to figure out the lightening S. I missed that ...thank you. I wont use the new one, I might throw it on Ebay or might just keep it, but think I'll carry the smaller one. Thank you all for your replies and help.
