camillus #72

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

The 72 is the unofficial AAPK pocket knife. ::nod::

Almost like a rite of passage or membership necessity.

And rightly so. It's a great medium sized Goldilocks knife. Not too small, not too big. Just right.

Yep, McGrew. Made by Camillus. In my estimation, $30-$50.

I offered $45 and received an instant declination. He's up in "Ditwtexas" territory on this one. I might offer $75 if I really felt a need for it (which I don't) but even that is a stratosphere price to pay for the knife. $60 - $65 is stretching it.

Yep, I have seen a couple of knives up in that country this morning....
Makes me think.... "now, just who would pay a price like that...."

BUT, there are folks out there that will pay $1,000 for a corn flake that looks like the face of Jesus.

Go figure.
