Ed I wish I could help you with more info but unfortunately I can't. I really like the looks of that knife. Can you please tell me what the closed length is ?

They were introduced in 1997.
The original box would have been dated.

Thanks Tim. I thought it looked like Maple but I was not sure. They really are nice, well made knives. I consider my self lucky to have it for sure. They are extremely nice in my opinion.
Here is a 1997 with Amboyna burl handles.
The lower knife is a pre Monolith in elk. It's less contoured and a little beefier.
