1970 era Schrade Walden, Uncle Henry and Old Timer

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

1970 era Schrade Walden, Uncle Henry and Old Timer

I collect antique Remington knives. I know very little about Schrade knives. Any idea the value of a board of 36 knives and a rough condition floor model display? I will include a picture.

I just saw this, a couple months late I know.
Setting a value for somany knives with just one group pic is not reasonable without being able to see the knives better; close up pics.etc. There is usually damage after so many years from sunlight and/or fluorescent lights. Rust, spotting, spidering, ect are possible on knives that are 45 years old. (Schrade Waldens were last produced in mid 1973).

Get some more pics and closeups and perhaps we can come up with a rough guesstimation. For an accurate estimate the knife would need to be examined individually for damage and for function.

The display at least slightly post-dates 'Walden.'

You are right Cal. My mistake, I read the title of the post and didn't enlarge the pic enough to see what was on the display. One of the disadvantages of reading AAPK on a cell phone! ::facepalm::
