Edwin Blyde & Co. Shell Puller

Post by outkast »

Mail Call !!!!! Got kind of a rare bird here. Edwin Blyde & Co. horn handle. I'm gonna call it a sportsman because it has the shell puller. Sadly the master blade has a bad spot from what looks like an electrical burn, but sometimes you have to take them how you can get them.

That is one cool collection outkast and no doubt different ::tu:: ::tu:: ... I don't really know much about shell pullers but you have me intrigued and not sure I ever saw one in person - Were they a sportsman knife for hunters? - Predominately all stag handles?? 8) The Blyde is interesting - I know of a John Blyde from Sheffield - but maybe Blyde was a common British name ::shrug::

Outkast, I love it when you post your shell pullers. Don't have one yet but it is on the list. Thanks for sharing. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::tu:: ::tu::
