Another #45
Found this one today, it has PAT. PENDING on the pile side, no etch on the mark side only the '55-'57 tang stamp. When was the #45 1st made? This one has not been sharpened, and boy does it snap!!

Hi Philip,
According to the Queen records, the first 45's were manufactured in 1953. Here's the link.

Nice knife but I never owned one mainly because I never liked the pattern. Something about those aluminum handles that rubs me the wrong way.
I'm partial to bone handled knives, mainly Rogers bone.
With the aluminum handles and stainless blade, it makes a great foul weather knife or a great fishing knife.
Also....glad you liked the #10's and thanks for buying them................Bruno

I have a NOS right here beside my key board. Carrie one like it three years of high school. Didn't break it but lost it. A really practical knife.

I heard somewhere that the #45 was the company's best seller over the years.
