Queen City swell center

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Queen City swell center

Post by bdev »

Just received this one.
A Queen City swell center. 3 7/8". Today it would be their 376 pattern.

A nice knife and would be even better if it didn't have bone missing from the pile side spring pin. Looks to be an old crack and has aged along with the knife.
I'm always surprised at how well these old Queen knives hold up throughout the years. No wobble on both blades.
This one was most likely manufactured in the 1930's.

Very nice Bruno, even with the cracked handle. Doesn't bother me on a good looking knife that old, good find!!!

That is a fine looking old gal! ::tu:: Looking at the pile side, the piece of missing bone didn't keep her previous owner from carrying her until her edges were worn smooth! :)
