That one ought to be in a gamblers boot or a soiled doves garter. What a classy old knife. Thanks for sharing.FRJ wrote:Here's a four line, lockback, swing guard. 4 5/8" closed.

Picked up this stockman, usually I don't care for synthetic handles but I like this one, well made knife that would make great carry knife.

I really like that knife, Doug. You mentioned elsewhere that it's pretty plain to look at but I think it's a stunner. Gorgeous knife!Doug51 wrote:Thanks to Knifeslinger I now have 3 new Camillus knives. Here is one of them a 23.

Jerry, that is a beauty.
I've got a couple of those Yellow Jackets in different forms. They are nice knives.
Doug, you are going to love that 23. They are hell for stout.
I have two of them from different time periods. Muskrat Man recovered them for me.

Yes sir. The 23 is a fine knife. Either in it's original state or as a canvas for modification.

Jerry, those are fantastic! Especially that Marine Corp retirement knife. I remember when Glennbad posted pics of it after he completed it. I didn't realize it was yours. Hands down the best and most thoughtful mod I've ever seen.jerryd6818 wrote:Yes sir. The 23 is a fine knife. Either in it's original state or as a canvas for modification.

Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!
After the discovery of NOS camillus at a local hardware store in my area, I made some impulsive purchases and have now developed more of an interest in camillus. They really did make some nice knives particularly in the pre delrin era but afterwards as well. Some of their delrin is among the nicest looking in the business. Plus, they did have an affiliation with schrade so maybe I can consider it an extension of my schrade collection...

Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!
Here are a couple I recently picked up . A 709 with jigged black bone which I think must have been part of a special edition from SMKW because the bone looks just like the old Smokey I have and two other 72's that they put out in the nineties.
Another recent pickup is this Colt .45 CCC Trapper. This is a great knife with bone handles that you can usually pick up for less than $50.
