The Last #46 Whaler
The Last #46 Whaler
Has the Allegheny Mountain Knife Collectors Association #46 Whaler with Abalone LVS (Bear Shield) shipped yet? I would love to see a picture of one of these. I hope there are some members here on the forum? If I remember correctly, there weren't going to be many produced. Please post a picture when you get one. Thanks.

That must be a secret society club and nobody is giving out any information.Rusty1 wrote:20 only I hear.

Thanks, Greg. I guess that is as close as we will get to seeing one.

Hi! The guy from the above YouTube video here.
I only joined the club early this year, but I've been at least tangentially aware of it for 4 years by the cornhole game they donated to GEC for the Rendezvous. I emailed a while back but got spam back (I think that old email address had been hacked). I also loved farther away then. Still, I wish I had joined earlier. The members are a treasure trove of cutlery knowledge, and they bring incredible knives to show off every month, plus they're all very welcoming. Some heavy hitters of the collector world too, I think....
Anyway here is the full length Knife Talk video on the 2018 Club Knife #46 Whaler in Abalone

There were 21 produces. XX-19 sold to members and a "Store" model with some defect that the club members couldn't identify that is being raffled off.

Re: The Last #46 Whaler
Logan,
Thanks for the pictures and the video review of your awesome knife. It is definitely a stunner! As you were doing the video, I was saying to myself "Holy mackerel, look how easy it is for him to open both blades on that knife." As you stated in the video, it is many times easier to open the blades on that knife compared to both of my Whalers, one in each handle finish.
Again, thanks for showing us the knife. I was hoping we would have someone on the forum who got one.

No problem, glad to share the knives I'm lucky enough to enjoy with others.
I should frequent this forum more but I spend too much time on Instagram and BladeForums already
