I finally have all of the #43's except one......

Post by LSS152 »

Pretty new to collecting GECs. Been a case folding hunter guy for a lot of years. I have been chasing these 43's all year. I missed out on the stag when they were shipped to the dealers but I was lucky enough to find one on the secondary market at a decent price. By the end of the week I should have all of them in my collection. The only one I am missing is the Oregon Club knife that is dark amber jig bone with the beaver shield. If anyone knows where one is that someone would be willing to sell or trade let me know. I have an Iron wood # 46 that I could trade for it. Maybe this weekend I can get some pictures posted up to show them off. :D I guess I got lucky, every one of them is flawless, blades are centered, nice pulls handles look nice. Thank you guys for all the great info you post here about GEC knives. It truly has been an inspiration It has been fun trying to locate them all!

I don't have the knife you're looking for but I'm looking forward to those pictures. Sounds like a nice collection.

I am new to knife collecting period, but really like the GEC's. Since I don't know, how many different handle materials are involved in the #43 pattern and what are they? I look forward to seeing your pictures. The #43 pattern is really cool. I have been looking for a stag, but can't find one in my price range yet.:(

Stag, you really hooked me up! Thanks for that. I found Dales phone number and he helped me locate the #43 club knife I was missing. (So now I have the full set) I think they only made 80. The other awesome thing about this knife is that it is #43 out of 80 and is engraved with #43 on the bolster. How cool is that? Thanks again Stag! No more knife buying for awhile until they have another run of 43's or 46's. My Wife is going to kill me if I dont stop buying knives :D :D :D

I bought the #43 stag proto this week from TSA Knives and received it yesterday. I paid $375.00 for it and it has gorgeous, fat, gnarly stag handles. According to Greg, it is one of one.
I'm very happy with my purchase.

Lss....
I don't know how to post photos.
Have tried before, unsuccessfully.
The knife and photos are still up on the TSA "recently listed" site.
