How many GLOCK FANS are out there?

I’ve been carrying a GLOCK 23 for EDC
Also have the GLOCK 22 and 42
I have been very pleased with the quality and performance with this brand.
I’m sure there are more accurate guns than the GLOCK but for me it’s doing a great job.
With over a thousand rounds fired.
I made some minor adjustments to each pistol to fit my needs, such as a stainless steel guide rods and HOGUE Grips.

I tried my darndest not to like Glocks for a long time, because they were ugly, not made in the USA, and most Glock owners I knew acted like jerks. Then I made the mistake of trying one at the range. I was looking for a carry pistol, and for me it came down to two brands. One was a Ruger - I forget the model, but it is about the same size as a Glock 26. I fired 300 rounds through each. By the end of the session, I had a blister on my finger from getting pinched by the Ruger. Not only that, but during rapid fire, the Glock was MUCH more accurate. I am convinced it is because the lower barrel results in less perceived recoil. Yes, I am a nerd, so I even did the math to prove it. On the rest, there was no difference in accuracy - just during rapid fire strings.
So anyways, that was several years ago. Now I carry and compete in IDPA with a Glock 19. I also have a G21SF, G23,G26, G36, and G43. All are gen 3 (which I prefer) except the 43. They're still ugly, but FUNCTIONALLY they are beautiful.

Mine have been very reliable and I will continue to use them.
I’ve owned several different pistols like Sig Sauer and Kimber, Smith and Wesson, Ruger which all are great in there own right but the Glock to me is like a good friend who is there when you need him.

That is well said.
I still notice that the Glock is about 1/16" wider than most pistols when I carry IWB, but the light weight makes it an even tradeoff.
I usually carry and compete using a thin kydex holster. It can be modified for either IWB or OWB carry. The cant can be adjusted from neutral to up to 15 degrees forward.
I also have a Milt Sparks Summer Special II that I like to use in the Summer with jeans or short pants and a t-shirt.

Its really funny guys and rangerblue just nailed it !!!
I had the same perception and feeling about Glocks myself till 12 years ago...
thats when I took the course for conceal carry....CCW in Mich.
The course was free thru the UAW Union being a just retired back then GM employee
There was only 6 guys in our class, I worked with 3 of them, and the course was taught
by a just retired Detroit cop...it was at the Union Hall, and with just us, no holds barred
with language or comments from any of us..it was one of my very enjoyable things I did.
Anyways, he carried a Glock 36 - 45 Auto,, I got to shoot 5 clips thru it at our gun range deal,
that was it, had my own as my permit living in a rural county came thru in 3 weeks...
3 weeks and 2 days..I was the owner of a 45 Auto Glock 36 !!!
I never thought I could be as accurate with any gun as I was with my 45 long Colt Ruger Vaquero, single action stainless..
I have a inside the pants padded leather holster that is comfy to carry

Stag, that 36 is da bomb ain't it??!!
One of the slimmest Glocks made. It is fairly unique among Glocks, as it is a single stack .45ACP.
I sometimes wish for more than six round magazines, but I tried some +2 mag extensions and they just look and feel funky to me.
So I just carry an extra magazine and try not to think about it!

My wife that just died on me in january while we were in Arizona for the winter had
one of them Ruger Raseberry's in 9mm...the 36 sure ain't that much more
kick than that, and I think it has to do with the way the handle fits my hand
its kind of puffed out in the grip and just fills your whole palm of your hand
I am a one hand / arm shooter, raise, site, fire and this Glock 36 is perfect for that type of shot
I got a cordura holster for it with a extra mag pouch to carry out in the desert mtns.
but when concealed, I just carry it, no extra mag.
I did a lot of shooting in middle feb. and march and april, bout 1 or 2 times a week, I am well practiced
for the 1st time in many years...very happy with results by end of march

At one time I had 10-12 different Glocks.. Now 0 !! Gave my last 2 away to my kids when they became LEOs.. John
