Boy thats a good looking one Joe!! Just screams class!!FRJ wrote:Here's a nice old serpentine Robeson. I guess it's a stockman with that spey but has a pen instead of a sheepsfoot. 3 15/16"
It still has factory edges on all blades. Not a half stop to be found. I think this thing sat somewhere for a long time.

Wow Duffer I didnt scroll up far enough and didnt see yours! What a clean Beautiful Robeson! Very nice pickup!Duffer wrote:Here is a Jack tang stamped Robeson/ShurEdge(script)/USA—1916-1939. It has wonderful chiseled/gouged bone handles. It is in great condition with full blades and very nice W&T with loud snap from both blades when opened.
Re: Robeson pocket knives
Here's a nice old Robeson I bought from Steve Pfeiffer today.
Decent little packer. 3 1/2". Four blades, pinched bolsters. Nice walk and talk and it has found a good home.

Re: Robeson pocket knives
You guys are finding and posting some nice old Robeson knives.
I think that 453 Congress is a fairly rare pattern.
I wish they had put a coping blade in it, instead of two pens.
I have one that I think is a bit later than Joe's. It has some unusual green/brown bone on it.

Re: Robeson pocket knives
Here are a couple of small Robeson PocketEze folders I found and bought recently at the OKCA show. A serpentine split back Whittler pattern and a serpentine double-end single spring pen. Both wear beautiful but different colored/dyed jigged bone handles. The Whittler has the more traditional looking jigged bone and the single spring the worm groove style jigging. The two blade is Robeson/ShurEdge (script)/USA and the Whittler is Robeson/ShurEdge(script)/Rochester. The two blade pen is pattern number 622756 and the Whittler is pattern number 633400. Each is 3 inches closed and the Whittler has coined liners. The two blade pen has hammered pins/brass liners and the Whittler looks like it has spun pins/steel liners.

Re: Robeson pocket knives
Lloyd, those are nice knives.
I've had a 400 whittler for some time, but not nearly so nice.
Also, a 400 two blade.
And I have a cell handled knife similar to your 756. It, however, has no pattern number.

Re: Robeson pocket knives
That 008 is a fairly scarce pattern, but I’ve had it as a penknife and as a stag handled whittler.
I still have pearl and ebony handled penknives.

Thank you, Lloyd.
These stamps are worn and are hard to read which is why I showed the pen blade only.
