New slipjoint fresh from the bench.
New slipjoint fresh from the bench.
i have been trying to finish this one for a while.
It went straight from the bench, to a few pics, to a pocket. The owner was at the shop when I put the edge on it.
Not perfect yet, but each one teaches me another lesson. Mostly lessons in the school of patience.
1084 blade and back spring, hand sanded satin finish.
Polished Micarta scales.
Hope you enjoy.

Very cool! The only thing I'm not so sure about is the head of the screw being proud of the handle. I think I would prefer it to be recessed.

That is a very "smart" looking knife. Well done and congratulations.

I do enjoy. I don't see any thing but beauty in that knife.

Very nice looking knife Tony. Looks sleek, kind of like a Shark. What is the closed length?Tony_Wood wrote:1084 blade and back spring, hand sanded satin finish. Polished Micarta scales.

The bevels were ground until I reached the top of the blade, and the secondary edge bevel was ground by hand.

Wow T Wood, great job eyeballing the grind and angles. True craftsman's touch. Sweet looking knife. Ever consider making one to sell? PM me with a price if you're interested in parting with something in that vein. Really good looking piece. Keep it up.Tony_Wood wrote:Thanks all for leaving comments.
