Hi
a small flat of 19 cm, forged in c130 the handle and micata burlap.
handle thickness 6mm, blade thickness at the thickest 3mm.

Using copper on the handle trim plus the copper pins gives a very classy appearance. The extra large choil encompassing both the blade and handle is an unusual choice. I'd be interested in knowing if you developed this element primarily for design considerations or for function. ::tu::

The choices are aesthetic but the handle must be comfortable in hand it is a priority

Very nice design and workmanship can. Is it truly comfortable in hand given its thinness? It seems like there would be two point contact with the hand but no contact with the palm. I wish I had the opportunity to test it both for comfort and to see how light it feels. Nice work!
