United Butterfly Knife

Anybody know about this knife? Spent hours researching. can't find anything.
One side says "UC81 Stainless Steel Taiwan". Other side is UNITED. On the blade is "?????? GOLD

I thought SMKW owned the United trademark, but that doesn't look right. They do sell a lot of the knives though. Look on here.

There was all kinds of that stuff flooding the market in the 1980s when butterfly knives were such a fad and before Benchmade started making really fine ones. It was not uncommon to find the Parker name, the Frost name, the United Cutlery name as well as other names I have forgotten on knives that were identical or very similar to one another. The price usually range from about $10-$20 depending on the marketing behind the knife.

United Cutlery was also associated with Boker Germany for awhile. I have a United Boker jack with a razor master blade that had beautiful candy stripe handles until they started out-gassing.Replaced them finally.
