Before And After Restoration - Bone 8OT

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Before And After Restoration - Bone 8OT

Post by jxr1197 »

I bought a bone 8OT in rough shape a few months ago. It popped up on ebay with a strangely low 'buy it now' price so I snagged it but wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. Here are some before pics:

I decided to send it out for restoration and can't say enough how blown away I am by the transformation. HUGE thank you to Eric Albers for this amazing job!!

I don't know who Eric Albers is but whoever he is, he did a spectacular job. Looks brand new now.

Ahh, now I know who you're talking about. I wasn't aware he takes outside work. Good to know.
