Let's see your picture knives

Post by bdev »

I don't know if there's a thread on this already but I couldn't find one by searching.

Let's see your picture knives.
Here's my one and only.
A Colonial Davy Crockett.
Go easy on the "risque" knives.

Golden Rule, circa 1898.

That's General "Blackjack" Pershing.

I no longer own this knife, however.

Here is a 1995 Dick Tracy Comic Strip Classic Stamp from 1995. The Dick Tracy Comic strip began in the Sunday newspaper comics in 1931.
An actual postage stamp is embedded (floating) within the knife handle. The knife measures a little over 6" open.
The knife came in a nice metal tin box. To the best of my knowledge, there was only one "Comic Strip Classic Knife" made in the series.

Here is the entire "Comic Strip Classic" Postal Plate containing all the stamps, and historical information on each stamp back.
