Hartkopf & co questions

Post by Ribbit »

I've researched Hartkopf but have found very little about their vintage "stuff". This tang stamp I have found no where. Any ideas as to age, era, etc?
This little jewel is tight, well put together in my opinion.
Any In-put would be appreciated.

from Goins book 2--R(obert) Hartkopf-1855-1957-winged lion trademark..this knife marked Hartkopf &co.1872-1952-2 faces looking left on back of tang is the only trademark he lists-I have pearls with this trademark-have had 1 blade wood jacks (work knives) with this marking..

That looks like it might have been part of a multi-tool kit with extra blades or tools that would attach to a pin at the opposite end.
