To Each His Own (2 Recent Sales)
To Each His Own (2 Recent Sales)
These two sold on eBay recently for roughly the same price (miniature = $243 vs. Case Tested = $260). Go figure. To each his own.

There were 5 different bidders for that little rusty knife. I've never understood the appeal of collecting "miniature" anything. My eyes aren't getting any younger...

Some miniature multiblade knives like those made about 100 years ago by Jos. Rodgers or J. Henckels are exsquisite marvels. Others like the one shown above are just mass produced trinkets that were sold from a cardboard display near the cash register for the same price as a roll of lifesavers. (what is this "cash register" business ?)

Believe it or not that $2 bill happened to me not long ago. I was at Walmart and had a worn out two dollar bill in my pocket... wasn't worth anything more than face value. I gave it to the teenaged cashier and she looked at me like I had two heads. Then she grinned and asked "Is this for real?" I told her "yes ma'am that real legal tender" And she looked around like she was looking for a hidden camera. Again she grinned and said "I gotta call my manager". Before she could do it though one of the older cashiers walked up and and just grinned and winked at me. She told the younger gal, "honey go ahead a ring this gentleman up that money is real, it's just before your time." She then looked at me and rolled her eyes and shook her head. It was funny and we all had a giggle at it.
Be a radical... use common sense.

A couple of weeks ago I paid for a soda at the local convenience store with a Sacagawea dollar coin. The cashier first thought it was from Europe, then thought it was a new state quarter...

They still make $2 bills had some new as 2013 , I work with a guy who told me one of his buddies only pays with $2 bills. I have used them and the $1 coins , wait till use .50 cent pieces that when you get some faces. Bad thing you got to ask for them at the bank , it was common years ago.
