Ibberson Lobster By Stan Shaw???

Post by Sheffieldguy »

Here is an Ibberson stainless steel lobster I picked up last year. Has clip blade and file and is 2 3/8” closed. Has anyone seen this handle pattern by anyone other than Stan Shaw?? I’ve seen knives by him like this but only in pearl. Any input would be appreciated!

Look inside the liner, I have never owned a Stan Shaw that didn't have the initials SS followed by the year of manufacture.

Ya...first thing I did when I got it. No stamps but I have read that he didn’t stamp every knife he made. Just thought I’d take a chance when I saw it. Thanks!

I think he did stamp all his knives even to this day. I thought he had said as much when i visited him a few months ago but my son missed that bit on the video. If he didn't stamp it he would not fix it if it was returned that was the whole point.

Hey Gerry, good to hear from you! That’s good to know. I guess a person can’t believe everything they read...big surprise haha!! Take care!
