Hello in the Texas panhandle
Hello in the Texas panhandle
I'm not really a collector...yet.
Although I've been sharpening for friends and family for a long time I ran across AAPK a little while back while trying to figure out what the knife was my brother gave me back in the 70's, turns out it was a Schlieper 99Y.
Thought I had one located but still on the hunt.
Looking for the Schlieper got me to dig out the knives my brother and our sons divided up after dad passed. Nothing of any real collector interest, dad had a flea market stall for a few years selling a little of everything and a lot of knives so most of the good blades were gone, of what was left we let the boys have the best picks.
Anyway I've found a lot of great info here and thought I should join up.

Welcome to AAPK! Always great to have another Texan here. I have grandkids in Wolfforth - not exactly Panhandle, but close. I'm in north central Texas, between DFW and the Red River. The river hasn't moved but DFW keeps coming closer.
