Arched stamp Schrade patterns

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Interested in early Schrade patterns with arched stamps. Picked this one up recently. Cleaned it up just a bit. Please post them if you got em.

That's a beauty; looks near new! ::tu:: It seems that the survivors from that very early era are mostly simple jacks, that being the biggest seller of the time. Their 1926 Catalog E starts out with pages of common jacks in the most popular patterns. I am not complaining; they are BEAUTIFUL!

That is just spectacular. The best reason for getting these images archived on the AAPK server so they don't disappear! ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

This is one of my favorite knives. All blades snap hard. Just a well made Knife.

I can see why that is a favorite. The patent referral is a mystery to me; do you know what that means? That would be important Schrade info (at least to me) (I would think the punch, but I don't see anything unusual there. Not all patent applications were granted). ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

Thought these were the same Knife aside from the tang stamp. When i put them side by side they are a different size. The long pull, Swedge and pins are different also. Not sure if these would be the same pattern #. Looks like 3 3/8 on the straight stamp and 3 1/2 on the arched.
