That would be from 1965-69.

I agree with Greg, but I was trying to see if there was a dot or two hidin' in the rust and patina below USA. ::hmm::
Let me say that would be a fine old Case clean up and use!

Greg is correct: 1965-69, however, it's not Red Stag. It's bone. Still a very nice old Case. ::tu::

Take a closer look under the USA stamp. Might be dots under the patina??

I don't think those are dots under the U.S.A. If they are then it would date to the late seventies and that bone color just doesn't match the dark brown mottled color you would expect of a late seventies knife. I think it is U.S.A. era with that pretty bone.

Greg is right, the pin placement is another giveaway. If it were a dotted knife, the pins wouldn't be that close to the bolsters. ::tu::

Hey Tom:

Do you or anyone else have a photo of a Case Muskrat where the pins ae in a different location on the handles? I'd like to see that just for my own education.

You can go to eBay and search for the older muskrats and compare them to the dotted versions that are listed, best way I know how.

I don't have a Case XX U.S.A (1965-1969) for comparison. Here is a comparison picture of Case XX and a Case XX U.S.A. 10 Dot (1970) to review.

The 10 dot 1970 doesn't seem to show any difference. The 7 dot 1973 does show a difference in the pin placement.
